Launched on River: January 27, 2025
Utah Tech Week is a decentralized tech festival—by the people, for the people—where anyone can host or attend events across the city. From January 27 to February 1, 2025, the tech week brought together over 3,200 attendees across 220+ events hosted by more than 260 organizers, creating a week of innovation, networking, and community-building.
To power this experience, we built a dynamic events platform that streamlined discovery and engagement. Attendees could browse events in both list and calendar views, using filters for Neighborhood, Time of Day, Topic, and Audience to find sessions that matched their interests. The community page showcased key partners, while external events could be seamlessly added with a simple link, ensuring a diverse and expansive lineup.
With everything centralized on one platform, Utah Tech Week attendees could easily register, invite guests, see who else was attending, and connect with hosts—all in just a few clicks. This not only made the tech week more accessible but also fostered meaningful connections, transforming a sprawling, city-wide event into an interactive and engaging experience.
